Its bodice glitters under dense hand-embellishment, giving way to a skirt patterned with Mughal-style motifs in masterful embroidery. Darker appliqué panels of tissue and velvet create depth and drama. Beneath, the lehenga is a collage of patterned nets, organza, and trims, adorned with kacha tilla and dori work. A red organza dupatta, lavishly embroidered and hand-finished, completes this look that is at once historic and breathtakingly modern.
